Fabric of the Universe
The fabric of the universe, or spacetime, is a flexible, four-dimensional, and dynamic structure that stretches, bends, and twists under the influence of mass and energy, acting as the foundation for all cosmic objects.
Massive objects like stars and black holes create deep, curved dents in this fabric, which we experience as gravity. All objects in the universe are embedded in and are part of the fabric of the universe.
The fabric of the universe itself is expanding, driven by dark energy, which makes up the majority of the universe and is hidden from our everyday senses – that is – until the fabric of the universe reveals itself and/or speaks to us. Here, the artist takes us with her as the universe reveals itself.
